Senior Veterinary Nurse, Vets Now Guilford
As a veterinary nurse at Vets Now Guilford you will be given the opportunity to become the foundation of a brand new team in our Guilford practice which will be launched in the near future.
Vets Now Guilford Out Of Hours Emergency clinic will be based within a contemporary private practice with good facilities and the latest equipment, subsequently offering you and your team a great working environment.
Taking on this exciting position means you will soon be part of a strong clinical team working at the forefront of emergency and critical care medicine, where you will have the opportunity to embrace a stimulating hands-on nursing role whilst also taking on a management function. Your position will not only involve client relations and responsibility for drug administration, clinical monitoring and nursing management; as this exciting role will also place you in a position of authority with management responsibility for the nursing and reception team. Whilst the senior veterinary surgeon will however have overall accountability for the overall management of the clinic, this position will allow you to manage the effective and efficient day to day operation of the clinic subsequently allowing you to shape the clinical team.
As a senior vet nurse your position will also ensure ‘best practice' is maintained by the nursing and reception team guaranteeing that clinical standards delivered by the team are continually driven upwards and consistent with RCVS Emergency Service Clinic (ESC) standards. You will also provide reliable support to the senior veterinary surgeon on duty assisting in clinical procedures, anesthesia and surgery, meaning you to be the nurse you trained to be.
