Vets Now is delighted to announce that it will be opening the doors to its new Aberdeen clinic this coming Autumn.
The company works in partnership with over 400 veterinary practices across the UK to provide emergency care for animals at nights, weekends and bank holidays and the new Aberdeen clinic will be based at Ardene House Veterinary Hospital, Kingswells in Aberdeen, providing Out Of Hours emergency cover for a number of veterinary practices in the Aberdeen area.
Dunfermline based Vets Now was founded in 2001 when vet Richard Dixon, saw a gap in the market for not only providing an alternative to the ‘on call’ service which vets are required to provide by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, but to providing a dedicated Emergency and Critical Care service for pets and in just over seven years, the company has established a network of 34 clinics across the UK.
Vets Now clinics treat over 65,000 small animal emergencies every year, and clinic teams work purely Out Of Hours, ensuring that they are always fresh and ready to provide emergency treatment at nights and weekends.
Speaking about the opening of the Aberdeen clinic, Richard Dixon, Vets Now founder and Group Managing Director commented: “It is a fact of life that some pets will take ill or have an accident outside normal veterinary practice hours. By working in partnership with daytime practices in Aberdeen, we can ensure that their clients have access to a dedicated emergency service for their pets out of hours and relieve them of the pressure of having to deal with middle-of-the-night emergencies. By using our service, it allows the vet to focus purely on their daytime work.”
He added; “The purpose of the Vets Now clinic in Aberdeen is to ensure that pets in the area have immediate access to a dedicated team of vets when needed. Our team specialises in Emergency and Critical Care medicine and the clinic will be fully equipped with the latest emergency technology to ensure we can deliver the highest standard of emergency care to pet owners.”
