Role Summary
Working in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) with Vets Now is an interesting, varied and highly rewarding environment, giving you a unique chance to utilise and develop a very broad range of surgical and medical skills.

Working as sole charge Vet, alongside a Receptionist and Veterinary Nurse, this rewarding hands-on role includes all aspects of anaesthesia, surgery and clinical procedures. Due to the nature of ECC medicine, shift caseloads are challenging, but you will be equipped with the facilities, training and support network to handle any case with the highest standards.

Role Requirements
You must be fully qualified and RCVS registered and UK graduates must have successfully completed the RCVS PDP OR have two years experience in small animal practice. Overseas graduates must have two years experience in small animal practice with at least 6 months being within an English speaking environment. You should also be comfortable working sole charge and confident in your clinical ability.

Clinic Description
Vets Now Barton-Le-Clay (near Luton) is a small and friendly clinic set in the small and attarctive village of Barton-Le-Clay, close to Luton and Milton Keynes towns and within commuting distance of North London. The clinic is well equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasounds, endoscope, full laboratory facilities and a separate cottage next door providing rest facilities for staff. The clinic enjoys a manageable and varied emergency caseload and an excellent relationship with the well established host practice team.

Working Pattern
Rotas are managed at local level by the Senior Veterinary Surgeon. This part-time position would be working 2 weekends in 5 and approx 4 nights per month. You should also be prepared to work a share of bank holidays and you will have the opportunity to pick up extra shifts to cover holidays.
